Ground in 100% alkali-refined… Prepare your surface before painting Williamsburg Lead Oil Ground is a traditional oil ground made with Basic Lead Carbonate and marble dust for the perfect amount of tooth and absorbency. A small amount of Titanium White is added to improve opacity and brightness. Ground in 100% alkali-refined linseed oil. The perfect amount of tooth and absorbency. It contains no zinc or alkyd. A combination of pigment, marble dust and alkali refined linseed oil used to prepare a surface before painting. Dries to a semi-absorbent, satin finish. Some separation of the product can occur due to settling. Titanium Oil Grounds can be sanded if desired. Always use a respirator when sanding to avoid inhalation as airborne particulates can cause respiratory irritation. DRYING TIME: Each coat will take approximately 2-3 days to dry. Be sure that each coat is dry before applying subsequent coats. After the last coat is touch drywe recommend waiting a minimum of two weeks before painting. STORAGE: Any unused thinned ground can be saved for future use. Stir before using.
