The Senso Clear Primed Stretched Linen Canvas is one of the few you'll find that will inspire you. Senso linen is made from a specially processed heavyweight linen that has a medium tooth with a good paint gripping texture and superb color elements creating a rich background for many unique painting effects. It is clear acrylic primed and will take acrylic colors, oil colors, caseins, alkyds and egg tempera. It will also make an excellent alternative to sanded pastel paper and it will enhance the value of finished paintings.

Many artists like to leave a border around their compositions having them float on the linen creating a unique presentation that they or their customers can frame or hang as is. The canvas is stretched onto the back of genuine pine stretcher bars leaving a crisp neat edge. Standard weight ¾" ×  1½" stretcher bars. 

Is linen or cotton canvas better?

Linen is strong and durable, and remains the preferred surface for many artists. Linen is more expensive than cotton and retains its natural oils, which helps to preserve the fiber's flexibility and stops the canvas from becoming brittle. It is also regarded as having a more “natural” weaved finish than cotton.
