Still, in his spare time, he worked closely with the Magnani mill to develop this unique paper for his preparatory sketches. Annigoni Drawing Paper is made by evenly distributing a mixture of beige-colored cotton and dark cellulosic fibers on a slowly rotating wire cylinder before it is pressed onto special Magnani marking felts and dried. The soft yet rough paper texture is ideal for using charcoal, graphite, pastel, and light ink washes.
