The Choice Of Artisans And Printmakers Worldwide.

Somerset Velvet Printmaking Paper is a very popular grade of printmaking paper from the historic St. Cuthbert’s Mill in the UK, first introduced in the early 1970’s. This 22" x 30" Satin White color paper boasts a lightfastness rating of 7 on the Blue Wool Scale for all colors. Originally intended as a printmaking paper, they have been 'discovered' to also be highly suitable for pastel drawing. Mould-made 100 percent cotton, acid-free with four deckle edges. The surface has a gentle texture, soft and good-tempered nature, and is a strong and stable enough sheet to ensure excellent printing. Each sheet comes with 4 deckle edges and is watermarked (except for the book papers) for authenticity. It remains flat after printing and offers durability and long life to finished editions of work.
