Encaustics

Encaustic painting is one of the oldest art forms in the world! In the basic encaustic method, the paint is applied with a brush or spatula or poured or dripped onto the support. Other techniques that are great for encaustics are collage, relief and modeling, casting and carving, and armatures. The options are boundless!
