The Lyre easel has been around for decades because it is portable, easy to store, and can hold canvases up to 49" high. At the lowest setting on the mast, it is 69-1/4" inches tall; when fully extended, the mast reaches 96-1/2" inches tall. The ratcheting canvas tray adjusts quickly and efficiently and can support a canvas up to 22 lbs in weight. The easel uses minimal floorspace in institutional settings, and the footprint measures a mere 26" x 30" inches. The tilt for painting and pastel work is 5 degrees forward and 15 degrees backward, adjusted easily with a sliding mast adjustment. The tray can go as low as 15-3/4" inches from the floor to 41-3/4" inches high.
