Fabriano's new vegan sizing allows for internal and external sizing without animal by-products. This sizing modification will please all watercolorists because of the control and lifting capabilities the new sizing provides. Fabriano Artistico's 100% cotton rag watercolor papers are mould-made. This paper technique creates a more consistent and even water absorption over the surface and makes the paper robust and durable enough to withstand scrubbing and erasing methods. Fabriano Artistico Enhanced Watercolor Blocks are glued on all four sides and are ideal for watercolor painting en Plein air.
Cold Press - (sometimes referred to as "Not Press") Italian translation is Grana Fina. It offers a lovely slight texture and tooth that grips pigment beautifully, created from pressing the finished paper between cold cylinders. Overall the most popular watercolor press.
