Rub paint stained areas with dry cloth.. repeat process if necessary Restores stained acryl gouache and watercolor palettes to "like new" condition This palette cleaner from Turner Colour Works Ltd was created to remove Turner Acryl Gouache from plastic palettes. Acrylic gouaches give artists the ability to adhere gouache to anything, but learn quickly after the fact that removing the dried gouache becomes a huge problem--even with scrubbing and soaking. Even the most durable plastic ABS palettes are subject to ugly stains left from staining pigments, after stringent cleaning with soap and water. Turner Palette Cleaner works quickly and easily--simply dip a clean soft cloth into the cleaner and gently rub the palette clean (do not dilute). The 40ml jar has enough for dozens of palette cleanings; a little goes a long way! Although this product was originally created for use with Acryl Gouache, in testing we found that Turner Palette Cleaner is just as effective at removing watercolor palette stains! Use Turner Palette Cleaner to remove watercolor stains, sticky watercolor mediums, residue and cement-like acrylic gouache like magic—leaving your palette looking brand new! Dissolves… Professional Grade Artist Solvents Artists use solvents to clean brushes and palettes after painting. Winsor & Newton solvents are made specifically for artists’ use and are fully volatile, meaning they leave no residual matter once evaporated. Key Features: * Artists' Picture Cleaner * English Distilled Turpentine * Sansodor * White Spirit Perfect For: * Cleaning palettes and brushes * Removing dried paint * Removing varnish Picture Cleaner - A natural resin/oil emulsion containing ammonia, designed for cleaning varnished paintings. Dissolves linseed oil oxidation and removes surface dirt. English Distilled Turpentine - Can be used to create your own painting mediums. Distilled Turpentine is derived from pine trees and is the most traditional solvent. You can use it to clean brushes. Sansodor - For creating your own painting mediums. Sansodor™ performs like turpentine, but its low odor makes it the least hazardous solvent. Leading art schools recommend it, and it is often the only solvent permitted in their studios. Also good for diluting paint and cleaning brushes. It evaporates slowly and increases blending time. White Spirit - Can be used to create your own painting mediums. Artists’ White Spirit is a petroleum distillate. It makes a leaner mixture with the colour and evaporates quickly. It can be used to clean brushes. Gamblin Gamsol is also an excellent studio and brush cleaner. Odorless Mineral Spirits - Gamsol is the safest solvent that allows oil painters to utilize all traditional painting techniques without compromise. Primary Uses for Gamsol - Thinning oil colors, Modifying painting mediums, Studio clean up.Gamsol is a petroleum distillate but all the aromatic solvents have been refined out of it, less than .005% remains. Primary Uses for Gamsol:* Thinning oil colors. A little goes a long way; stiff oil colors relax immediately when a little Gamsol is added. Be careful not to thin oil colors too much with solvent alone, this can compromise the ability of the paint to form a paint film.* Modifying painting mediums. Our Galkyd line of painting mediums are formulated with Gamsol, so they readily accept Gamsol as a thinning agent. Note: Gamsol should not be added to painting mediums made with natural resins (dammar, copal, mastic). They require strong solvents such as turpentine.* Studio clean-up: brushes, palettes, palette knives, etc.* Odorless* Available in the following sizes: 4.2 oz,16.9 oz, 33.8 oz, 128 oz* No solvent odors, only the wonderful smell of oil colors* Widely used in oil painting classrooms* Flash point: 62.2 °C / 144.0 °F (See SDS Sheet) How does Gamsol achieve this level of performance and safety? Most solvents available to artists come from the industrial paint industry where solvent power and cheapness is prized. Gamsol is special: it is made for products and processes that come into more intimate contact with the body such as cosmetics, hand cleaners, and cleaning food service equipment. Gamsol is a petroleum distillate but all the aromatic solvents have been refined out of it, less than .005% remains. Aromatic solvents are the most harmful types of petroleum solvents. The Gamsol SDS shows that it has an Exposure Limit Value higher than most solvents available to artists. In addition, Gamsol’s flash point allows it to ship via air cargo as a non-hazardous material. All of these factors have lead to Gamsol being used widely in oil painting classrooms; in those classes, there are no solvent odors, only the wonderful smell of oil colors See More
