White A Surface The Paint Can Caress - Modern, master quality oil-primed linen created in Italy Holding the finished canvas in your hand, the primed surface feels almost buttery, and the linen underneath is smooth and incredibly uniform hence providing the underlying cause for such an excellent master-quality product. Handmade in Italy, Raphael Premium Archival Oil Primed Linen Panel surface is non-absorbent, allowing the color to sit up on the surface. The depth is created by the refractive qualities of the oil, which enhance the natural tendencies of the pigment. Raphael has just enough tooth to keep the surface receptive to hold initial layers of paint while they dry and bond with the oil surface. Raphael Premium Archival Oil Primed Linen is expertly mounted on multi-ply board made with poplar wood. The slight tooth and incredible priming make each stroke velvety smooth and luxurious. Key Features: * 3/8" Thickness * Fine weave, 100% linen canvas * Oil-primed linen canvas, mounted to panel * Hand primed, four coats of priming * Natural glue sealer * Expertly mounted onto warp-resistant plywood * Primed with a luxurious, acid-free, non-absorbent ground * Handmade in Italy * Reliability of the material and consistency of the finished product Perfect For: * The perfect archival surface for any painting in oils * Make oil painting a real pleasure * Fine weave and texture * Lasts hundreds of years * Create depth and beauty that only oil colors can achieve * Foundation allows for virtually any technique from abstract to the most intricate portrait and super realistic technique Raphael Premium Archival Oil Primed Linen Panels are expertly mounted on warp-resistant Poplar plywood. The slight tooth and incredible priming make each stroke velvety smooth and luxurious. Years ago, we worked with an excellent Italian company in creating a linen canvas that would make oil painting a real pleasure and produce results that were more brilliant than before possible with commercial products. This linen canvas has a fine weave and texture and is created with one coat of natural glue sealer and four coats of oil priming. The Italian priming method was developed over five centuries. The difference is the reliability of the material and the consistency of the finished product. Although processed entirely by hand, the modern assembly line and super clean workplace allow the finished product to be amazingly consistent and beautiful. See More -
