A Jerry's Exclusive! Germany's Finest Oil Colors!
LUKAS is a company rich with history, and has always been highly regarded as one of the finest artists' companies in the world. The recipe for their line of 1862 Oils is a guarded family secret that has been handed down through generations and perfected over the years.
Even Vincent van Gogh, in a rare letter to his brother Theo in 1885, explained that he could have done better if he had LUKAS's color:
"I ordered some colours from Schoenfeld* in Düsseldorf, as there were some colours that I could not get here. If the painting of the potato eaters turns out not to be good enough, part of the reason is due to the colors I had to use. . . For example, if the mineral blue I have just purchased had been available to me during the painting of the picture, it would have turned out much better. . . " - Vincent van Gogh *LUKAS is the Brandname of Schoenfeld
